Our Activities

Our daily routine at Pinwheel is designed to include a mix of teacher-led sessions and child-initiated activities, allowing children to learn collaboratively and explore independently at their own pace.

Morning circle :

Our day at Pinwheel Elementary begins with a joyful and energizing Morning Circle. Children gather to practice simple warm-up exercises, along with calming mantras and morning prayers that set a positive tone for the day. We proudly sing the National Anthem together, fostering a sense of unity and respect. This is followed by lively rhymes and action songs—favorites among our little learners—which help refresh their minds and uplift their spirits. Morning Circle not only promotes physical movement and coordination but also prepares children emotionally and mentally for a focused, productive day of classroom activities.

Classroom Activities :

We offer a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that include thoughtfully designed worksheets and related hands-on experiences. These activities are carefully planned to support learning across all areas of development—cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and creative. Each day also features a teacher-facilitated session that provides guided learning opportunities, encouraging deeper understanding and meaningful engagement.

Snacks Time :

Lunch break at Pinwheel Elementary is a calm and joyful time where children enjoy nutritious meals in a relaxed, social setting. It’s not just about eating—it’s also a chance to practice good table manners, develop healthy eating habits, and build friendships through shared conversations. Our staff ensures that each child is comfortable, well-fed, and cared for, creating a homely environment that supports their physical well-being and emotional comfort.

Oral Time :

Oral Time is a special part of our daily schedule where children are encouraged to express themselves confidently and creatively. One of the highlights of this session is Show & Tell, where children bring meaningful objects from home or classroom themes and describe them in their own words. This not only builds vocabulary and communication skills but also encourages confidence, self-expression, and active listening. Along with picture talks, reciting rhymes, and guided conversations. Oral Time nurtures imagination and helps children become articulate, expressive, and attentive communicators—one step at a time.

Story Telling :

Mondays at Pinwheel begin with the magic of Storytelling, where children are transported to worlds full of wonder, imagination, and adventure. Through expressive narration, picture books, puppets, and props, our educators bring stories to life—capturing young hearts and minds. These sessions help develop listening skills, vocabulary, comprehension, and a love for reading. Storytelling also sparks creativity and encourages children to think, imagine, and express themselves in new and meaningful ways.

Dance Class :

Every Tuesday, our little learners look forward to an exciting  Dance Class filled with rhythm, movement, and joy! Guided by a trained dance instructor, children are introduced to various dance forms—from creative free movement to basic classical, folk, and modern styles. These sessions not only enhance physical coordination and flexibility but also boost confidence, expression, and a love for music and movement. It’s a wonderful way for children to stay active while having fun and exploring the art of dance!

Logic & Reasoning :

Wednesdays at Pinwheel are dedicated to sharpening young minds through engaging Logic & Reasoning activities. These sessions are designed to enhance children’s logical thinking, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills. With the help of thoughtfully prepared worksheets and hands-on tasks, children are encouraged to explore patterns, sequences, comparisons, and simple puzzles. They are given opportunities to solve problems independently, while teachers gently guide them to understand concepts clearly and confidently. It’s a fun and rewarding way to build the foundation for analytical thinking from an early age.

Yoga Class :

Every Thursday, our children participate in a peaceful and playful Yoga Class designed especially for young minds and growing bodies. Through simple poses, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques, children learn to relax, focus, and build physical strength and flexibility. These sessions promote inner calm, body awareness, and emotional balance, making it a perfect midweek practice to help children feel centered, refreshed, and ready to learn.

Art & Craft/ Clay Modelling :

Fridays at Pinwheel are all about creativity and self-expression! Our little artists dive into a world of colors, textures, and imagination through a variety of Art & Craft activities and Clay Modelling sessions. From painting and paper crafts to collage making and sculpting with clay, children get hands-on experience exploring different materials and techniques. These fun-filled activities enhance fine motor skills, boost imagination, and allow children to express their thoughts and feelings in beautiful, tangible ways. It’s the perfect way to end the week on a joyful and artistic note!

Free Play Time :

Free Play Time is a cherished part of the day where children have the freedom to explore, imagine, and create at their own pace. Whether it’s building with blocks, engaging in pretend play, enjoying puzzles and games, or participating in indoor physical activities like ball games, obstacle courses, or balancing exercises—children choose activities that spark their interests. This unstructured time encourages independence, social interaction, problem-solving, and creativity—supporting well-rounded development in a fun and relaxed environment. Our educators observe and gently guide, ensuring every child feels safe, included, and inspired.

Goodbye :

We wrap up our day at Pinwheel Elementary with a joyful Goodbye Time filled with fun and energetic goodbye songs. This routine helps children wind down with smiles on their faces and warmth in their hearts. Singing together creates a sense of closure, celebration, and connection, ensuring every child leaves feeling happy, confident, and excited to return the next day.
