Theme of the Month: Love, Gratitude, Fun & Festivals
Grades: PG –K2
1st September (Monday) – National Nutrition Day
Theme: Healthy Eating for a Healthy Life
Activities:
- Good Eating Habits – Storytelling session about the importance of balanced meals.
- Nutritional Food – Display of real fruits/vegetables; students identify their colors and benefits.
- Eating Etiquettes – Role-play activity on table manners and polite eating habits.
- Healthy vs. Junk Food – Sorting game where children classify pictures/flashcards of food into “Healthy” and “Junk.”
Take-Home Activity:
- Parents to send one healthy tiffin (fruits, sprouts, nuts, homemade snacks) and children will share their experience.
5th September (Friday) – Teacher’s Day & Grandparents’ Day
Theme: Honoring Our Teachers and Love, Wisdom & Blessings from Grandparents
Activities:
- Handmade Cards – Children will prepare and bring handmade cards for their teachers.
- Flowers or Pens – Students may bring a small token of love like flowers or a pen for their teachers.
- Special Assembly – A short celebration with children expressing gratitude towards their Grandparents & Teachers through songs, skits, or dances.
- Show & Tell – “My Grandparents” – Children bring a photo of their grandparents and share 5–6 lines about them.
- Song or rhymes : Children will learn a song or rhyme for their grandparents with the help of their parents
- Card-Making Activity – In class, children prepare Greeting cards for their grandparents.
- Special Gesture – Children take their handmade cards home to give personally to their grandparents.
Take-Home Message:
- Children will write/draw one thing they love about their teacher and take it home as a memory.
25th September 2025 – Durga Puja Activity
Theme: Festivity, Dance & Togetherness
Activities:
- Dress Code: Children to come in traditional Indian attire.
- Dandiya Dance: Fun dance session where children perform dandiya with music in the school premises.
- Story Corner: Teachers share a short story about Goddess Durga and the significance of Durga Puja.
- Craft Activity: Children make simple Durga Puja/Dandiya-themed art
Take-Home Message:
- Children will share what they enjoyed most about Dandiya & craft activites with their parents.
26th September (Friday) – Dandiya/garbha Noon (Mothers & Kids)
Theme: A Noon Full of Enjoyment, Dance & Fun
Event Details:
- Timings: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Dress Code:
- Mothers & Girls – Lehnga Choli
- Boys – Kurta with Dhoti or Pyjama
- Activities:
- Dandiya Dance session with mothers & children together.
- Fun festive games & music.
- Snacks (according to Navratri Vrat): Will be provided by the school
Objective:
To celebrate the festive spirit of Navratri, promote bonding between children and mothers and Pinwheel team, and create joyful school memories together.
Durga Puja Holidays
- 29th September (Monday) → 5th October (Sunday)
- School reopens on 6th October 2025 (Monday) with usual timings
Important Notes for Parents:

Celebration Days: Only Indian Traditional Attire is allowed. Please do not send children in western clothing on cultural celebration days.

Kindly help your child prepare for “Show & Tell” and Teachers Day Activity at home.

Hygiene check will be conducted every Monday.
